Biography
Dr Koon Sim Lan trained as a Palliative Medicine physician in the United Kingdom. She worked as a consultant in Palliative Medicine in Nottingham (UK) between 2014-2020 and during her appointment, she has developed the ‘Enhanced Supportive Care’ service for metastatic lung cancer, incurable upper GI and hepato-pancreatico-biliary cancer. After working abroad for 17 years, Dr Koon returned to Malaysia and joined a private hospital in Petaling Jaya in April of 2020. She believes in early integration of palliative care in oncology to improve patients’ quality of life and their cancer journey.
